Cell Phone Use Discouraged for all Drivers

Snoopy over on RVABlogs.com points out the shortcomings of attempts by Senator Jay O'Brien to get cell phone use by teen drivers banned. While accidents are caused by cell phone use, blaming only teen drivers is like recommending we allow those over 21 to drink and drive. Cell phone use by all drivers (including inexperienced drivers like teenagers) is ubiquitous and dangerous.

Last year, a teenage girl was answering her cell phone when she caused the death of Anthony John Marsh, 36, who was riding his bicycle to work when she ran him over. This is just one in many instances of carelessness that might be avoided
